Using the work of Van Gogh and contemporary artists as our inspiration we will explore using acrylics in the style of an oil painting, incorporating impasto gel to hold brushmarks and create texture, resulting in an energetic and expressive image. Bring own materials.

Please bring the below materials with you:

• Photos/sketches of landscapes as starting points
• Drawing pencils, rubber
• Impasto or structure gel
• Variety of brushes (soft/bristle) / Palette knives if you have them (don’t buy specially)
• Acrylic paints (please include primaries in your selection)
• Watercolour paper or acrylic paper or canvas
• 2 water jars, mixing palette, kitchen roll
