Led by Helen D Evans
This 3 week course is for people with all abilities, whether you want to come and give pottery a try or if you have some experience of working with clay.
If you are new to clay then Helen will guide you through exploring two different ideas, whilst more experienced learners may want to use the time to work on their own projects.
You will spend 2 weeks making a selection of seasonal decorations for yourself or as gifts. The final week will be spent decorating your work with underglazes or glazes. This session will be slightly longer to give you time to decorate your pieces (2.5hrs).
Your work will then be fired off-site and then ready to collect from Norden Farm approximately 4-6 weeks later.
The price includes: clay, use of tools, underglazes, a selection glazes and 2x firing of your work.
All work will be fired to Earthenware.
Please bring with you:
Sketchbook for ideas / with ideas
Pens / pencils
A cloth to wipe your hands on
An apron
Any clay tools you may have
A plastic bag to store your work
Helen will notify you and arrange a date regarding the collection of your work after the course.

Stuff and Nonsense are leaders in family theatre. 'The show was extremely clever and I was very impressed by the fantastic use of staging, which is definitely one of the key elements, along with the lively music, that kept my little boy transfixed throughout' coastalmum.co.uk

For this workshop we will make a small concertina book with a winter or Christmas theme.
We will look at how a narrow strip of paper can be filled with a panoramic composition and folded such that each little spread (two open pages) is interesting independent of the whole. Elements of pattern and repetition will be explored.
Paper supplied but please bring your own materials: any drawing media, watercolour or gouache would be suitable. Drawing media can include acrylic paint pens and/or acrylic inks.
Please also bring: newspaper to protect the table, paper towel, brushes, water pots, palette.
Bring ideas/reference, some references will be supplied. You may like to take inspiration from doves, Christmas decorations, the Christmas story, snowflakes holly or a winter scene etc.

An Albion Christmas is widely regarded as the premier seasonal show. They have been touring for 25 years and attract sell-out audiences across the UK.
Featuring the combined talents of Simon Nicol (Fairport Convention), Kellie While (Albion Band), Simon Care (Edward II) and the Guvnor himself, Ashley Hutchings MBE this show takes you on a guided tour through the Christmas customs of Britain.
Kellie While, Simon Care and Simon Nicol join founder of Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span and The Albion Band, Ashley Hutchings, on stage for an evening of traditional English Christmas music, song and celebratory readings.
Kellie takes time out from working with her mum, Chris While, for which both the UK press and public alike have praised her. Folk enthusiasts will know Kellie from her work with The Albion Band. She received personal praise from Ron Sexsmith for her beautiful version of his song Riverbed on her album Tenacious, which put her on the map as one this country’s finest voices.
Simon Care is currently working with Edward II and has always had a passion for Traditional English dance and song. Simon also works with Banter, Tickled Pink and the Morris On Band.
Simon Nicol, founder member of Fairport Convention finishes the line up to make this a truly festive treat. He is regarded as one of the finest acoustic guitarists in the world... His voice is pretty special too!
The Albion Christmas Show is a seasonal mixture of carols, spoken word and humorous readings. It really is the perfect way to start your festivities. This year will see material chosen by the band from the last 25 years of shows and albums… a 'best of the Albion Xmas' selection.

Join Robert Habermann for a live celebration of Sinatra’s greatest hits together with a generous helping of Christmas songs that Frank recorded over his long illustrious career.
So where does Sinatra’s association with Christmas come from?
It goes right back to 1948, the year the LP format was introduced by Sinatra’s then record label Columbia. That was when the 32 year old released Christmas Songs By Sinatra, the first Frank Sinatra Christmas album, arranged by the redoubtable Axel Stordahl.
